Signs Your Linear Welding & Fabrication Is Failing

• The gate sags at the latch side and scrapes the driveway. The top hinge or hinge post has lost its weld or the post itself has shifted. • A crack runs through the gate frame near the motor attachment point. Linear operators apply a lot of repeated force at one concentrated point. Over years, that point fatigues. • You can see daylight through a weld that used to be solid. This is the one to catch early. When a weld fails visibly, the remaining steel is carrying a load it wasn’t designed for. It’s a $300 repair now and a $1,400 repair if the gate drops and folds on itself.
